Part-time lifeguard needed!

Foothills Farm is seeking a part-time lifeguard to supervise summer campers at our private beach, located on the Vermillion River. The ideal candidate would be available from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday. As our lifeguard, you would be responsible for organizing water and beach games for our campers. Our camp counselors will be at the beach with you to assist in ensuring the safety of each camper at all times.

Foothills Farm is a top-level equestrian facility located in Chelmsford, ON. We are the leader of equestrian sport in Northern Ontario and are home to many top riders who compete successfully nationally and provincially. Every year we host a summer camp, where campers experience a fun-packed week of riding, training, and jumping at Northern Ontario’s premier riding camp.

RATE OF PAY:

$15.00- $19.23 per hour

HOURS:

3 hours a day, Monday-Friday

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

National Lifeguard Certification (NLS) in good standing
Great with children
Excellent interpersonal skills
Bilingualism is considered an asset

The farm is located 10 minutes outside Chelmsford down rural roads, away from public transportation. Having access to your own form of transportation is a must.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure the safety of campers at all times
Respond to first aid situations and emergencies promptly and competently
Organize water and beach games with the campers
Monitor water drinking and sunscreen use of campers to ensure they stay hydrated and safe from the sun.
Coordinate with camp counselors to ensure campers are where they need to be according to the schedule.
